09 Apr Success at “Additive Manufacturing in Medicine: use cases and innovative approaches”.
On March 20th we finally celebrated “Additive Manufacturing in Medicine: use cases and innovative approaches”, an event organized by COLFEED4Print collaboration with Deeplabs to discuss the possibilities state of-the-art technology like additive manufacturing could bring forward in the field of biomedicine.

This event brought together key institutional figures to discuss every stageof the development of advanced materials for additive manufacturing in biomedicine, from its conception to it’s comercialization, delving not only in the usage of this technology, but also into the regulations that affect it, and the challenges it poses to the administration and legislation; as well as representatives of several research institutions and groups to give us a more accurate portrayal of the experience of working with these materials and format in a vide variety of specialized fields. This approach was taken in order to provide a complete view of what the challenges and opportunities of using this innovative technology actually are, from the wider administrative perspective, to the more specific realm of research.
The possibilities offered by additive manufacturing and technological materials as tools in medicine, in regards to speed, personalization and efficiency, are becoming more and more notable and rapidly advancing, generating plenty of interest as time goes by, as we’ve been able to observe through this event. With more than 90 attendees, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’ve left this event with the satisfaction of knowing that the potential solutions this technology could provide in the field of medicine is greater than ever, and we at COLFEED4Print hope to have encouraged a wider conversation on the topic of additive manufacturing.
